Coronavirus Information
At Dr Tan’s practice we are taking and encouraging the following preventative measures to ensure staff and patient health and safety and to limit/slow down the spread of disease:
- Face masks must be worn by all people attending (unless an exemption is in place), we have a supply of masks at reception if you do not have one on arrival
- Hand washing frequently with soap and water
- Alcohol hand spray is placed throughout the practice for both patients and staff use – this is encouraged before entering and when leaving any consulting room and before using the EFTPOS machine
- The EFTPOS machine is wiped down with hospital grade alcohol wipes
- The cleaning of all surfaces has been increased (table surfaces, waiting room chairs etc.)
- Water jug and cups in the waiting room have been removed for the time being
- Children’s toys, books and also magazines have been removed from the waiting room
- We have spaced out chairs in the waiting room to help with social distancing
- Avoidance of anyone who is unwell – if you or anyone else attending the practice shows signs of being unwell, you will be asked to leave the practice
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
- Social-distancing and reducing general community exposure
- Limiting visitors/family members to the practice (one support person only, no children please)
